The French recovered paper market:
Ordinary grades stable while high grades fall

02 Sep 2019 −

The French recovered paper market remains tight amidst good supply, but many prices have stayed the same in August.

However, grades used as pulp substitutes have become cheaper, and some deinking grades also cost a little less here and there.

After mixed paper and board (1.02), supermarket paper and board (1.04) and old corrugated container (1.05) prices plunged in July, the storm subsided in August.

Insiders said that many recycled corrugated case material producers took their usual downtime over the summer so demand waned a little.

This is an excerpt from EUWID's monthly report on the French recovered paper market. The EUWID Price Watch Paper and Board France for August together with the complete report will be published in EUWID Packaging Markets 18/2019.
