The German aluminium packaging market:
Positive order levels and consumption in May

29 May 2017 −

Suppliers of tubes, beverage and aerosol cans made of aluminium were reaping the benefits of positive order levels and customer demand in mid-May.

Most market experts said the momentum registered during the first quarter had been sustained.

There seems to be a little easing on the cost side thanks to the development of aluminium quotes. In mid-May, the majority of EUWID respondents reported a slight easing of aluminium prices.

However, the Commodity Research Team of Commerzbank, Frankfurt am Main, says this slight dip has since been stopped again.
