The German aluminium packaging market:
Retailers provide more space for beverage cans

11 Feb 2019 −

Suppliers of tubes, beverage and aerosol cans made of aluminium interviewed by EUWID at the end of January gave a largely positive assessment of business in 2018.

Across all product ranges manufacturers seemed to benefit from the ongoing debate to substitute plastic packaging or the search for sustainable solutions.

Currently suppliers of beverage cans were largely preoccupied with the looming 2019 season. The market for aerosol cans was able to make gains in the segments for hair and personal care products. Shower foams and dry shampoos continued to grow.

Demand for aluminium tubes appeared to be particularly brisk from the pharmaceutical and OTC customer segments.
