The German cartonboard market:
Discussions on higher prices continue

09 Nov 2017 −

Discussions about what future pricing continue to influence the German market for virgin-fibre cartonboard at the start of November.

Sources said that talks between manufacturers and converters are still in progress.  Insiders do not expect buyers and sellers to put pen to paper across the market before the end of November.

Discussions about the possibility of price hikes on the German recycled cartonboard market appear to have faltered due to factors including developments on the recovered paper market.

This is an excerpt from EUWID's monthly report on the German paper and board market. The EUWID Price Watch for October together with the complete report will be published in EUWID Packaging Markets 23/2017.
