The German commodity plastics market:
All grades with mark-ups in March

01 Apr 2019 −

Supply and demand were balanced at the end of March for most polyolefins and PVC, with some exceptions among individual producers.

EUWID respondents said the only restrictions in the market applied to PS. Demand varied markedly for PE and PP but was rather lively for PS.

All commodities increased in price for March. PE grades and PP largely witnessed a passing on of the monomer mark-ups, whereas suppliers of PS also achieved more. PVC increased by half the ethylene hike.

This is an excerpt from EUWID's monthly report on the German commodity plastics market. The EUWID Price Watch for March together with the complete report will be published in EUWID Packaging Markets 7/2019.
