The German commodity plastics market:
Demand still largely dampened in October

12 Nov 2018 −

As in recent months, the order levels for standard commodity plastics were rather moderate again at the end of October.

EUWID's monthly survey of market participants revealed that deliveries only revived for polystyrene thanks to lower prices.

All commodity plastics were readily available. The low water levels in German rivers had however resulted in supply bottlenecks of monomers for producers.

The supply of plasticisers available to converters was therefore equally restricted.

This is an excerpt from EUWID's monthly report on the German commodity plastics market. The EUWID Price Watch for October together with the complete report were published in EUWID Packaging Markets 23/2018.
