The German commodity plastics market:
Falling raw material costs putting pressure on prices

30 Sep 2019 −

Decent supply and mediocre demand were shaping the German commodity plastics market in September.

Cool demand had been expected by some, but some sellers were disappointed with sales. Prices have often mirrored what has happened to raw material costs.

Converters, especially film producers, said that sales are not running smoothly any more. The gloomier economic climate was also coming into play.

This is an excerpt from EUWID's monthly report on the German commodity plastics market. The EUWID Price Watch for September together with the complete report will be published in EUWID Packaging Markets 20/2019.
