The German commodity plastics market:
Restrained deliveries in September

05 Oct 2018 −

The customary seasonal upturn was lacking on the market for standard commodity this September.

EUWID was told that order levels tended to be calm for all products. Supply and demand were largely balanced.

In terms of prices, the only marked changes were registered for PS because this plastic was following the upward lead of the upstream product.

PP witnessed minor increases, whereas PE grades remained stable or even came under pressure slightly. PVC saw a continuation of August prices.

This is an excerpt from EUWID's monthly report on the German commodity plastics market. The EUWID Price Watch for September together with the complete report were published in EUWID Packaging Markets 20/2018.
