The German commodity plastics market:
Slightly dampened demand in June

06 Jul 2020 −

In June, the market for primary commodity plastics lost a little ground for the second month running.

Although demand, especially from the packaging industry, remained high, EUWID respondents reported a decline compared to April and May. This was owed to the low prices of the past months. Customers had stocked up in anticipation of price hikes and thus some currently boasted bloated inventories.

⇒ This is an excerpt from EUWID's monthly report on the German commodity plastics market. The EUWID Price Watch for June together with the complete report will be published in EUWID Packaging Markets 14/2020.
