The German commodity plastics market:
Stable prices despite holiday-related dip in demand

31 Aug 2020 −

Demand for primary standard commodity plastics took a small hit in August.

Suppliers interviewed by EUWID said the month had been calm as expected. Deliveries were on the whole lower due to the general vacation period and the increasing number of companies on short-time working due to the coronavirus crisis. Advance purchases from the past months ensured that converters had well-filled inventories, and these were to be depleted first. The supply was sufficient and delivery times were within the usual range.
