The German commodity plastics market:
Supply and demand balanced in January

The market for standard commodity plastics was largely balanced in January.

There were no reports of shortfalls or excess supply.Most EUWID respondents report solid order levels.

Following the rollover of the ethylene contract, quotes for PE grades also moved little.In contrast, PP and PS saw mark-ups. Producers failed to implement their envisaged hikes for PVC.
