The German commodity plastics market:
Varied assessments on polyolefin demand

17 Dec 2018 −

In November, the market for standard commodity plastics was balanced on the whole. EUWID was told nonetheless that availability may be limited depending on the supplier.

Prices for polyethylene grades hardly moved at all; occasionally minor mark-downs were reported.

Polypropylene also largely retained the level of the previous month. Polystyrene fell significantly, effectively following the lead of the upstream product styrene.

PVC generally experienced a rollover.

This is an excerpt from EUWID's monthly report on the German commodity plastics market. The EUWID Price Watch for November together with the complete report were published in EUWID Packaging Markets 25/2018.
