The German cores and coreboard market:
Further price hikes announced

15 Jan 2018 −

At the beginning of the year, producers of cores for the paper, film and textiles industries have already been informed of additional price hikes for coreboard.

The mark-ups announced by German, French and Italian producers amount to 15% or €50/t and are to take effect from 1 January 2018.

It appears that the first steps have already been implemented, according to respondents.

However, since converters were still in talks with their suppliers as of 22 December, these were not completed in all cases before the turn of the year.
