The German kraftliner market:
No easing in supply expected for brown kraftliner

07 Aug 2017 −

Supply and demand of kraftliner remain out of balance.

According to converters, unbleached kraftliner is being allocated. Volume reductions are a daily occurrence and not all grammages and widths are sufficiently available.

The supply situation remains extremely tense.

Against this backdrop, there is little converters can do to resist the price increase demands of brown kraftliner producers. "There is no basis for negotiation”, complains one EUWID respondent.
