The German kraftliner market:
Price talks still in progress

18 Jul 2017 −

Talks to discuss price increases in the region of approximately €50/t for brown kraftliner from the middle of July or 1 August are not over yet in Germany.

Observers think that not much can be done to change the size of the mark-up – at least for unbleached kraftliner – amidst continued scant supply.

Converters told EUWID that they now wanted to work towards a general date of 1 August on which higher prices would take effect.

This is an excerpt from EUWID's monthly report on the German kraftliner market. The complete report will be published in EUWID Packaging Markets 15/2017.
