The German lightweight kraft paper market:
Demand slows over the summer

05 Oct 2020 −

Like in the months before producers of lightweight kraft paper (40 g) described a mixed picture when surveyed by EUWID at the beginning of September.

They said the German market continued to slow during the summer months of July and August. Order intake at the paper factories was sluggish. Although this is not uncommon during the summer holiday season, the slump was significantly more pronounced this year. The situation is exacerbated by high stocks in the supply chain.

This is an excerpt from EUWID's report on the German lightweight kraft paper market. The complete report is published in EUWID Packaging Markets 20/2020.
