The German lightweight kraft paper market:
Demand has calmed down

13 May 2019 −

The situation on the market for lightweight kraft paper of up to 40 g seems to have further calmed down at the end of April.

According to respondents in Germany, demand for white respectively bleached grades for bags has returned to normal after having been rather overheated last year.

Demand for brown kraft paper had calmed down as well, industry experts said, but was still somewhat stronger in comparison. They added that this segment simply benefitted to a higher extent from the current debate on the replacement of plastics.

This is an excerpt from EUWID's report on the German lightweight kraft paper market. The complete article is be published in EUWID Packaging Markets 10/2019.
