The German pallet market:
Demand remains consistently high

22 Jul 2021 −

Owing to a brisk pace of general economic activity at home and in export at the middle of the year, demand for load carriers remains consistently high in all recipient industries in Germany and its neighbouring countries.

The majority of producers have been limiting their sales to regular customers for several weeks now. Quotas are being imposed even on contractually-agreed deliveries or delays are occurring, however. As a rule, requests from new customers or those with only intermittent deliveries are no longer being accepted. Contracts continue to be concluded with only short terms in most instances.

Prices paid in new contracts for deliveries of standard pallets went up in July, more price increases are anticipated in August and September.
