The German pallet market:
Further slackening in demand since the beginning of October

28 Nov 2019 −

The trend at the beginning of the fourth quarter of 2019 towards buyers of standard as well as special pallets arranging their purchasing somewhat more carefully was still going strong at the middle of November.

Suppliers believe demand was slightly lower than in the previous quarter, which had been satisfactory in terms of volumes.

At the same time, as none of the cuts in output by pallet producers beyond those already made in special and weekend shifts in output have actually been implemented yet, the discrepancy between supply and demand has tended to increase.

This is an excerpt from EUWID's report on the German pallet market, published every six weeks. The complete article together with the Price Watch is published in EUWID Packaging Markets 24/2019.
