The German pallet market:
No major change in prices in the last couple of weeks

16 Dec 2016 −

Business volume for flat wooden pallets on Central European markets, which had been very high in recent months, has weakened again slightly in the last few weeks.

Producers attribute this trend on the one hand to seasonal factors, but on the other hand to increasing uncertainty among clients regarding the business trend in 2017.

Despite slight deterioration, the business situation in terms of volume is still mostly described by producers as at a high level. Producers assume that German pallet production will this year exceed the 100m mark for the first time.

This is an excerpt from EUWID's report on the German pallet market, published every six weeks. The complete article will be published in EUWID Packaging Markets 26/2016.
