After a dip in demand in September/October 2021, manufacturers of standard as well as special pallets registered a minor increase in business activity during the course of November.
Some pallet buyers that until only a short while ago had still been producing at a reduced rate due to delays in deliveries of intermediate products have meanwhile stepped up their production again and now require load carriers at very short notice in some cases. This mainly concerns suppliers of special pallets whereas demand continued to be reported as rather sluggish in standard business in November.
Even though business activity was practically identical last month to the October level, prices for standard pallets have fallen again sharply below what they were in mid-October.
