The German pallet market:
Prices continued to rise at the beginning of Q2

22 May 2018 −

At the beginning of the second quarter 2018, pallet producers were still doing their utmost to offload the preceding months’ increases in raw-material, production, and logistics costs onto pallet prices.

With the exception of indexed long-term contracts, manufacturers say they have been able to get customers to accept further increases averaging 0.10-0.30 €/pallet for new euro- and above all for chemical pallets so far this quarter.

It therefore seems that many buyers are currently giving greater priority to a dependable supply rather than to price.
