The German pallet market:
Prices for standard pallets show little change

26 May 2017 −

The price hikes of €0.10-0.30/unit already demanded in March by various Central European pallet producers had not been implemented for standard pallets by the beginning of May.

Despite undiminished high volumes of business, large-scale buyers and suppliers rolled over prices reached by the end of March for both EUR and chemical pallets until further notice, apart from some marginal corrections.

Markets for used pallets have also seen no appreciable changes in recent weeks.

Because of the volume of business, utilisation of production capacity among pallet producers was at a very high level at the beginning of May.

This is an excerpt from EUWID's report on the German pallet market, published every six weeks. The complete article together with the Price Watch is be published in EUWID Packaging Markets 11/2017.
