The German pallet market:
Stable production coinciding with slight reduction in demand

01 Jul 2019 −

The rather slack demand on the central European markets for flat wooden pallets in the early months of this year still existed at the end of June.

From what manufacturers say, the sales volumes in the both the euro and chemical-pallet segments were mostly lower than the comparatively high level of last year whereby the reductions were only in the single-figure percentage range.

A somewhat slower pace of general economic activity at present is still coinciding with a normal level of production activity for the time of year, however.

This is an excerpt from EUWID's report on the German pallet market, published every six weeks. The complete article together with the Price Watch for June were published in EUWID Packaging Markets 13/2019.
