The German paper and board market:
High demand helps the surge in sack kraft paper prices

06 Apr 2021 −

Following unusually high operating loads in the fourth quarter, demand for sack kraft paper has seen an even stronger surge in the first three months of the new business year.

This is particularly true for brown sack kraft paper for which delivery periods meanwhile reportedly stand at 10-12 weeks. EUWID respondents report that they have had to drastically cap contracted volumes and serving additional volumes was out of the question in March.

For white sack kraft paper, the situation on the German market is reportedly not as tense but here too, market players mention delivery periods as long as 8 weeks.
