Rising prices main topic on paper markets

Negotiations on higher paper prices amid tight supply in some market segments abound on paper markets in Germany.

Demand for kraftliner from the corrugated industry remains extremely high and converters find it difficult to meet demand. Suppliers are planning more pricing steps for August. Another round of price hikes for recycled corrugated case material is on the table for July. In the coreboard segment, prices have also moved significantly higher in the course of the second quarter. It is also expected that cartonboard prices will remain dynamic.
