The German PET market:
High temperatures in June boost PET demand in western Europe

27 Jul 2017 −

PET demand has picked up considerably since June thanks to widespread hot summer temperatures.

Suppliers told EUWID that demand was very brisk across Europe. Various producers had already closed their order books for August. Production was running at full steam and inventories were low.

Following the hikes of €20-30 for European grades in May and more or less constant prices in June, quotes were once again heading north in July.

This is an excerpt from EUWID's bimonthly report on the German PET market. The EUWID Price Watch PET for July together with the complete report is published in EUWID Packaging Markets 15/2017.
