The German PET market:
Limited supply and brisk seasonal demand push prices up

28 Jun 2018 −

PET supply has waned considerably. As EUWID discovered, manufacturers of preforms and bottles can not satisfy their demand and are therefore unable to supply their customers sufficiently.

At the same time demand is high for seasonal reasons and due to the warm temperatures that have been prevailing almost persistently since April.

These factors have sent prices soaring since May and market participants do not see any easing of this predicament anytime soon.

Even deliveries of contract volumes are being pushed over to the next month.
