The German PET market:
Pre-Christmas revival amid yielding prices in November

07 Jan 2019 −

At the beginning of December, PET bottle producers were caught up in pre-Christmas business, which contributed to a revival of the market for primary PET.

An ongoing stoppage of two production lines was not impacting supply severely since the main season was over, EUWID was told.

Prices dropped together with those of the upstream products in November.

Negotiations were still underway for December when this market report was completed in the second full week of the month.

This is an excerpt from EUWID's bimonthly report on the German PET market. The EUWID Price Watch PET for November together with the complete report will be published in EUWID Packaging Markets 1/2019.
