The German PET market:
Prices continued to rise in March and April

27 Apr 2018 −

PET suppliers reported brisk demand not just with the onset of warmer temperatures but already during the colder months.

It is probable that converters wanted to stockpile for the beverage season, especially since they had of late expressed frequent concern about shortfalls, was the explanation suppliers offered to EUWID.

As PET producers also stated, demand was excellent in all European regions. This had resulted in high operating rates and low inventories.

This is an excerpt from EUWID's bimonthly report on the German PET market. The EUWID Price Watch PET for April together with the complete report will be published in EUWID Packaging Markets 9/2018.
