The German PET market:
Prices drop back to September level after short upward trend

14 Dec 2020 −

The upward trend in primary PET prices in October, triggered by a slight increase in the price of the upstream material MEG, held only briefly.

In November at the latest, the prices for virgin products fell back to the level of September. In the final days of November, market participants told EUWID that it was still too early to give a concrete assessment for developments in December. Most viewed a sideways movement at the existing level as the most likely outcome.

This is an excerpt from EUWID's report on the German PET market. The EUWID Price Watch PET for November together with the complete report is published in EUWID Packaging Markets 25/2020.
