The German plastic packaging market:
Demand for films and pouches picks up in Q4

05 Nov 2020 −

Demand for plastic films and pouches declined in the third quarter, in some cases significantly, as converters and producers told EUWID.

"The bar from April to July," characterised by many advance purchases in the course of the coronavirus pandemic and favourable film prices, "was set high," according to a market expert. Nonetheless, deliveries in the third quarter were higher than in the previous year for the majority of those quizzed by EUWID. However, a general downward trend was not confirmed as interest had picked up again at the beginning of the last quarter of the year.

This is an excerpt from EUWID's report on the German plastic packaging market. The complete report is published in EUWID Packaging Markets 22/2020.
