The German plastic packaging market:
Rising lead times for suppliers of films and pouches

Tube suppliers started well into the New Year. As EUWID discovered, cosmetic and dental tubes in particular enjoyed gains last year.

Many suppliers of films and pouches said last year’s fourth quarter had been satisfactory.

Reduced plastic prices had eased the burden but now respondents were anticipating mark-ups for printing inks and adhesives.

Industry and plant engineering performed well in the segment for transport containers. Orders from the last quarter were still being processed in the New Year and this had resulted in high operating rates.
