The German plastic packaging market:
Some significant volume losses in the third quarter

04 Nov 2019 −

Some segments in the market for plastic packaging concluded the third quarter with significant volume losses.

Developments were at best stable. This especially affected caps, films/pouches as well as plastic drums and IBCs.

Volumes were occasionally increased for food containers as well as tubes. However, statements varied regarding the development of tubes for cosmetics.

The fourth quarter in contrast saw order levels pick up in numerous segments.
