The German plastic packaging market: Summer weather favours crates and caps
Market participants supplying the beverage industry, e.g. producers of reusable containers or caps, benefited the most from the long summer.
EUWID also discovered that demand for plastic caps for household products was calmer than the year before.
Suppliers of films and pouches boasted good operating rates and they were eagerly anticipating the looming Christmas business for the food industry. Long delivery periods were reported for printed pouches.
Tubes witnessed gains both for extrusion as well as laminate tubes. Demand was particularly brisk for tubes in the cosmetics sector over the past few months.
