The German polyamide market:
PA 6 for packaging applications with calm demand

28 Sep 2020 −

Although the increased demand from the past few months had tailed off in September, suppliers expressed their satisfaction.

"It has become considerably calmer. We are now moving towards a normal level, even if the stockpiling efforts of recent months are making themselves felt," said an EUWID respondent. Especially demand from the food and pharmaceutical industries remained largely stable, while deliveries of medical packaging were still below the usual levels. Lead times were within the customary range, in some cases they were even shorter. There were no supply bottlenecks in September and observers were expecting slight shortages in October.
