Hoarding fuels deliveries of food cans

In recent weeks, the coronavirus pandemic has left its mark on manufacturers of tinplate packaging and caps.

Above all, food can manufacturers, some of whom hit their capacity limit, have benefited from the much-cited hoarding drive. Beer was also hoarded, which benefited crown cap producers, and aerosol can suppliers upped their deliveries to fillers of disinfectants. Suppliers of chemical-technical cans registered brisk demand from the DIY sector. However, Covid-19 also resulted in significant losses in individual delivery segments.
