The German tinplate packaging market:
Price of upstream material set to rise further

10 Dec 2018 −

Most producers of packaging and caps interviewed by EUWID during the period end of November / beginning of December were still conducting annual price talks with the tinplate industry.

What was already apparent during EUWID’s previous market research in September seems now pretty clear: tinplate prices will most likely increase once again as of 1 January 2019.

Suppliers of packaging and caps are determined to adjust their own prices next year, too. This is considered necessary due to the marked increase of costs beyond the upstream material.

This is an excerpt from EUWID's quarterly report on the German tinplate packaging market. The full article will be published in EUWID Packaging Markets 25/2018.
