The German tinplate packaging market:
Weakening in certain segments in Q3

29 Aug 2019 −

The first knock-on effects of the economic slowdown seemed to be materializing in mid-August.

The segment for chemical-technical tinplate packaging bore the brunt in this context. Demand had also partly softened for aerosol cans but the reasons for this were not entirely clear.

In the segment for food cans the shifting of the gherkin harvest caused ripples in the market.
