The German used disposable PET bottles market:
Arisings were low in April

25 May 2021 −

PET flakes and post-consumer PET bottles became more sought-after and more expensive again on the German market in April.

The strained supply of primary PET is keeping converters‘ demand for flakes and regranulate high. Recyclers often had to fight for every last bottle. Not all recyclers are well supplied, insiders said. For this reason there had sometimes been prices seen on the spot market for bottles that would put recycling activities in loss-making territory, market players said.

This is an excerpt from EUWID's monthly report on the German market for used disposable PET bottles. The EUWID Price Watch for April together with the complete report were published in EUWID Packaging Markets 10/2021.
