The German waste plastics market:
First reports of a slight uptick in demand

10 Aug 2020 −

The situation on Germany’s waste plastics market remains difficult.

That being said, some recyclers reported a slight uptick in demand for the first time in a while. A few plastic converters, including companies supplying the automotive industry, had apparently placed orders in July. Additional price cuts had only been instituted for certain types of HDPE. However, it was not yet clear whether this trend would last for a longer period of time.

This is an excerpt from EUWID's monthly report on the German waste plastics market. The EUWID Price Watch Waste Plastics for July together with the complete report will be published in EUWID Packaging Markets 17/2020.
