The Polish cartonboard market:
Producers and converters still enjoying excellent order books

14 Apr 2020 −

Cartonboard producers serving the Polish market claimed to be busy or very busy across the board in late March.

Experts attribute strong order intake to an actual jump in demand for food packaging in Europe and an artificial chain reaction caused by a high degree of nervousness throughout the entire supply chain, which is ordering more than it needs at the moment. Both, medium-sized and large converters and paper merchants in Poland were still displaying solid demand for cartonboard.

All told, the first quarter of this year was satisfactory for the vast majority of sellers in Poland after a weaker second half of 2019.

This is an excerpt from EUWID's report on the Polish paper and board market. The EUWID Price Watch together with the complete report will be published in EUWID Packaging Markets 8/2020.
