The Polish recovered paper market: Many grades plunged in price in November

Prices for leading ordinary recovered paper grades took a tumble in Poland in November.

This price drop had looked likely as in late summer supermarket paper and board and mixed paper became much cheaper in Western Europe. As usual, buyers in Poland had a somewhat delayed reaction to trend in neighbouring countries.

Just a few minor price cuts materialised in October.

The markdowns then hit with full force in November, with Polish prices for ordinary recovered paper grades said to have tumbled by PLN80-100/t (€19-24).
