IGA report: fillings of aerosol cans decreased again in 2019

Last year, a total of 1.107bn aerosol cans were filled in Germany, 7% less than in 2018, continuing the decline of the previous year.

Production had already fallen by a similar amount in 2018, down 8% on 2017. In contrast, demand in Germany on the whole developed positively last year. According to the German federation "Industrie-Gemeinschaft Aerosole e.V." (IGA), fillings in the largest market segment, cosmetic aerosols, fell by 9.9% compared to the previous year to a total of 705m cans.
