Plastic-coated paper cups are subject to marking specifications for single-use plastic products
14 Jan 2021 −
From 3 July 2021 onwards, paper cups with plastic coating have to be marked as single-use plastic products in the European Union.
From that date, the cups will be subject to the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/2151, published on 17 December 2020, that stipulate harmonised marking specifications for single-use plastic products. The Regulation provides for two different markings that single-use cups must bear.
