The market for rigid plastic packaging appeared to be on the upswing at the beginning of March. Manufacturers of plastic tubes were satisfied with developments in the first few months of 2024. Producers of plastic containers were still registering subdued demand in some areas, but were hoping for impetus from the European Football Championships in Germany in the food, catering and food service sectors, among others. Respondents told EUWID that the supply of upstream products had been adequate so far in the first quarter.
