German packaging manufacturers recorded significant growth in production and turnover in 2021. Around 19.6m t of packaging were produced in 2021, according to GADV. This means that the production volume increased by 4.8%. The production value also increased significantly by 10.9% and was around €35.8bn in 2021. As in previous years, plastic packaging generated the largest share of production value with a share of around 44%, while packaging made of paper, cardboard and paper was the largest segment in terms of volume with around 49%....
