In many cases, the manufacturers and converters of commodity plastics surveyed by EUWID in December were taking a conciliatory view as the year drew to a close. In view of the Christmas holidays and New Year’s Eve, they were expecting orders in the first two weeks of the month in particular. According to reports from the market, these orders had even met the target figures in many areas. Despite a further shortage of plant capacity from polymer and monomer manufacturers, supply was still described as sufficient to cover existing demand....
