Supply continued to outstrip demand significantly on the market for PET in recent weeks, as producers and converters told EUWID in October. European producers had still cut their lines to reduce the supply surplus, but imported volumes from Asia were still coming onto the European market. Despite the additional costs for transport, the goods could still be offered at lower prices, although the price difference to European PET had reportedly narrowed somewhat....
