Prices for post-consumer PET bottles in Germany fell once again in July. Volumes were sometimes even being offered for free to reduce inventory levels, as storage costs were also rising, EUWID was told. Prices are said to be at their lowest level since the financial crisis of 2009. However, there are also some green shoots suggesting stabilisation of the market on the sales side. Producers of films are reportedly already inquiring about clear flakes for delivery in September....
